Management Responsibilities for EMS Effectiveness and Environmental Performance (Element 5.1 ISO 14001:2015)

Element 5.1 of ISO 14001:2015 requires that management demonstrate leadership and accountability for the effectiveness of their EMS insuring it achieves the intended outcomes.  In order to demonstrate accountability, management will need a good understanding of the EMS process and their specific EMS procedures.  This webinar will provide an overview of the ISO 14001:2015 standard and explain how these new concepts apply to your organization – context of the organization, environmental performance, intended outcomes, risks & opportunities, etc. We will discuss in detail the concept of environmental performance and how to integrate into their business process.  The program will provide managers with competency in the new standard and how this may apply to their operations. We will not be able to cover the specifics of your EMS.  This program can also be provided at your facility with your specific EMS materials.

Identifying Aspects and Risks & Opportunities from a Life Cycle Perspective (ISO 14001:2015 – 6.1.2)

This webinar will explain how to develop processes to identity aspects from a life cycle perspective as required by section 6.1.2 of the revised ISO 14001:2015.  We will discuss the organization’s ability to control and influence the environment aspects through the Life Cycle of their products/activities/services and how these should be documented. We will also outline how the risks and opportunities associated with their EMS can be documented.  Electronic copies of a procedure and matrix to identify and evaluate aspects using a life cycle perspective and document risks and opportunities may be purchased for $79.
